Stencil cleaning: Preconditions for reproducible quality and low failure rates

Kissel + Wolf offers a wide range of products for manual and automated cleaning.

The stencil cleaning process is essential in screen printing, in order to reuse the stencil or mesh after the printing process. It is therefore a requirement for reproducible quality and low failure rates. This process can be divided into two divisions: manual and machine stencil cleaning

KIWOCLEAN LM 628
Solvent based screen cleaner

KIWOCLEAN LM 628 is a universally applicable screen cleaner for the removal of commonly used printing inks from printing tables and for cleaning tools and squeegees. It is applied wherever a screen cleaner is used manually. KIWOCLEAN LM 628 has a limited range of application in automatic washing units. KIWOCLEAN LM 628 is colourless, mild in odour, has little attack on photoemulsions and is free from halogenated hydrocarbons.

KIWO MultiClean
Screen printing cleaner based on biodegradable solvents, contains emulsifier

KIWO MULTICLEAN is a universally applicable screen cleaner for the manual cleaning, especially for anintermediate cleaning before decoating, or for the post-treatment of decoated screen printing stencils.KIWO MULTICLEAN is very mild in odour and biodegradable.

PREGAN C 44 A
Water emulsifiable screen cleaner

PREGAN C 44 A is used for the removal of ink residue before and after decoating. It contains solvents which evaporate very slowly and is thus ideal when a longer reaction time is required for a very stubborn residue. PREGAN C 44 A is mild in odour and has a high flash point. As PREGAN C 44 A also dissolves many photoemulsions, it should not be used to clean the screen during printing.

PREGAN C 444 M
Water emulsifiable screen cleaner

PREGAN C 444 M is a water emulsifiable solvent mixture for the quick and safe removal of many printing inks. Fresh and dried ink residue can be removed from the screen with PREGAN C 444 M after rinsing with water. Due to its formulation, it is especially suitable for screen printing purposes, i.e. although having excellent cleaning properties, it has very little attack on photoemulsions. PREGAN C 444 M is free from aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Entrainment by solvents can be eliminated in adapted biological sewage plants.

PREGAN 1014 E
Water emulsifiable, universal solvent cleaner

PREGAN 1014 E is a water emulsifiable solvent mixture for the removal of many printing inks, dried pigment printing pastes, pressure sensitive and flock adhesives, solder pastes and non-hardened solder resists. Dried solvent based printing inks can quickly be dissolved, dispersion based products swell and can be removed from the screen using a strong water jet. Despite its high efficiency, PREGAN 1014 E has very little attack on photoemulsions.

PREGAN 244 E
Mild in odour, water emulsifiable, solvent based screen cleaner

PREGAN 244 E is a water emulsifiable solvent mixture for the quick and safe removal of many printing inks. After treatment with PREGAN 244 E all ink residue can be removed from the screen by rinsing with water. Due to its formulation it is especially suitable for screen printing purposes, i.e. despite its excellent cleaning properties, PREGAN 244 E has very little attack on photoemulsions.

PREGAN 235 Spray
Highly active screen opener spray, free from CFC

PREGAN 235 SPRAY dissolves solvent based, dried printing inks after breaks or when printing screens begin to clog. Due to its formulation it is especially suitable for screen printing purposes, i.e. despite its excellent cleaning properties PREGAN 235 SPRAY has very little attack on photoemulsions. Its easy application prevents expensive and time consuming cleaning processes.

KIWOCLEAN LM 612
Solvent based screen cleaner for use in automatic screen washing units

KIWOCLEAN LM 612 is a universally applicable screen cleaner for the removal of non-hardened inks from screens. KIWOCLEAN LM 612 is colourless, of medium volatility, mild in odour and has little attack on potoemulsions. Very suitable for plastic (PVC), paper, UV, non-hardened two-component inks and many plastisol inks.

KIWOCLEAN LM 641
Solvent based screen cleaner

KIWOCLEAN LM 641 is a universally applicable screen cleaner for the removal of commonly used printing inks from printing tables and for cleaning tools and squeegees. It is applied wherever a screen cleaner is used manually. KIWOCLEAN LM 641 has a limited range of application in automatic washing units. KIWOCLEAN LM 641 is colourless, mild in odour, has little attack on photoemulsions and is free from halogenated hydrocarbons.

KIWOCLEAN LM 657
Solvent based screen cleaner

KIWOCLEAN LM 657 is a screen cleaner for the use in automatic screen cleaning units, furthermore,  it is also suitable for manual cleaning. Preferably used for UV, paper, glass and ceramic inks.

KIWOCLEAN LM 665
Screen cleaner based on biodegradable solvents, for use in automatic screen cleaning units

KIWOCLEAN LM 665 is a universally applicable screen cleaner for the removal of common non-hardened inks from screens. It is for use in automatic screen cleaning units, especially in those cases where a system dependent entrainment of the solvent into the waste water can be expected. The cleaner therefore consists of biodegradable components and consequently, the cleaner / water mixtures can be emptied into biologically adapted sewage plants. Very suitable for plastic (PVC), UV, acrylic and water reducible inks (even dried), solder and conductive pastes.
